I'm a proud graduate of Winston-Salem State University, an HBCU, where I earned my Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and English. After that, I went on to receive my Master's in Educational Leadership and Policy Studies from Virginia Tech, and later completed my doctorate in Public Policy and Administrationwith a concentration in Law and Public Policyat Walden University.
Throughout my journey, I've had the opportunity to tutor students both locally and internationally through virtual platforms, utilizing my TESOL certification. While I have a deep appreciation for many subjects, my true passion lies in English. I love helping students discover their "happy place" with reading, and I've found that the most rewarding moments come when we work through challenges together, fully engaged and having fun along the way.
I'm a firm believer in the transformative power of education and the importance of nurturing that inner spark in every learner.

Outside of tutoring, I enjoy learning how to swim from my 9-year-old son, watching a good mystery series, reading, walking my goldendoodle, riding my Peloton, exploring local farmers' markets with my son and friends, and spending quality time with my family and friends.
