I have a BA in English from the University of Massachusetts and an MA in Children's Literature from Simmons College. I am a longtime professional editor and freelance writer across a variety of genres, including food and beverage, hospitality, children's literature, and weddings. Literacy and writing are two subjects I am particularly passionate about. For many years, I was the volunteer library coordinator for the elementary school in my town. I love reading to children and introducing them to the wonders of books. I also substitute teach in the elementary school, working primarily with K, first, and second grade students. My expertise is in helping students by proofreading and critiquing their writing. My style is friendly, laid-back, and positive. In addition, I enjoy working with students on creative writing projects. I can also work with older students, helping them with their essays and overall writing skills. In my spare time, I almost always have a mystery book I'm reading, I enjoy spinning exercise classes, and I walk on the beach as often as I can.
