Certified Tutor

I earned my Juris Doctor from Brooklyn Law School and my Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Communication Studies from Loyola Marymount University. With more than three years of experience, I have had the privilege of tutoring students at the elementary, middle, high school and college levels in a variety of subjects, including History, Language Arts, English, and Social Studies. I strongly believe that learning should be both challenging AND rewarding, and that every student is capable of academic excellence.

My teaching philosophy centers on creating a supportive and comfortable environment where questions are welcomed, curiosity is encouraged, and mistakes are honored as opportunities for growth. I adapt my tutoring approach to match each student's unique learning style, which may include any (or all!) of the following to reinforce concepts and enhance comprehension:
- utilizing visuals aids like diagrams, charts, and color coding
- integrating auditory tools like read-alouds, and songs/tunes/rap
- breaking down complex concepts into clear, digestible steps
- using relatable and engaging real world examples

To me, tutoring is about so much more than homework completion and test prep- it's about developing critical thinking skills, enhancing self confidence, and building a love for learning that lasts well beyond the classroom. I look forward to inspiring all of my future students to own their strengths, recognize and celebrate their progress, and approach every learning obstacle with determination and resilience.
