I hold a Bachelor of Music with a concentration in Education from Carson Newman University and have extensive teaching experience in both traditional and non-traditional learning environments. I enjoy tutoring a wide range of subjects, but I'm especially passionate about music, reading, writing, and study skills. I believe these areas form the foundation of lifelong learning and success across all disciplines.

My background includes over a decade of experience in music education, k-12 subject matter, workforce development, and leadership. I've served as a special education teacher, a pre-employment transitions specialist, and currently direct a youth workforce program where I design and deliver career-readiness workshops on topics like resume writing, interview prep, and financial literacy. Over the years, I've worked with learners of all ages and abilities, including youth with disabilities, high school students preparing for careers, and adults looking to sharpen their professional skills.

I am passionate about helping students discover their strengths, build confidence, and reach their full potentialwhether that's in the classroom, the workplace, or life in general. My tutoring style is warm, student-centered, and flexible. I adapt my approach to fit each learner's needs and goals, incorporating interactive techniques and real-world connections to keep students engaged. I'm especially skilled at working with students who may feel frustrated or overwhelmedI focus on progress, not perfection, and celebrate each win along the way.

Outside of tutoring, I enjoy music, traveling, community outreach, and creating meaningful experiences that bring people together. I bring that same energy into every tutoring session, and I look forward to helping students grow into confident, capable learners.
