Hi there! I'm Crystal, a biology major, veterinary assistant, and lifelong learning enthusiast with a soft spot for misunderstood mitochondria and way too many highlighters. I recently joined Varsity as a tutor, and I'm here to help students turn their academic roadblocks into stepping stones (preferably not the tripping kind).

School was not always easy for me, especially in the beginning. I had to figure out how I learned best, which took some time and a lot of creative thinking. That experience is why I tutor nowto help others figure out what works for them. Whether you learn by drawing it, hearing it, teaching it back, or laughing through it, I'm here to meet you where you are. Short attention span? ME TOO! Let's learn some techniques and study methods that work for us, not against us!

My strengths are in biology, anatomy and physiology, and general science, but I've also helped students with writing, study strategies, and test prep, and love those too. I keep lessons fun, organized, and judgment-free. No question is too small, and mistakes are always part of the process.

When I'm not tutoring or working in the clinic, I'm usually drawing fantasy animals, making nerdy tote bags, or with my nose firmly planted in a book.
