Certified Tutor
As a Ph.D.-level educator and researcher with over eight years of experience in learning design and cognitive science, as well as 2 years of tutoring experience, I bring a deep passion for helping learners thrive through personalized support. My background spans instructional design, educational psychology, and human-computer interaction, with a strong focus on attention, memory, and user experience.
Whether I'm guiding students through complex digital environments or supporting them in developing their executive functioning skills and study strategies, I create engaging, scaffolded learning experiences that empower learners to gain confidence and independence. I've worked with diverse learners across virtual, hybrid, and in-person formats, with a variety of ages, and I specialize in helping students manage cognitive load, improve focus, and achieve their academic goals.
I'm also a published researcher in virtual reality learning and sensory information processing, and I bring that cutting-edge knowledge into tutoring sessions by using evidence-based strategies tailored to each student's needs. With me, you can expect not just content knowledge, but mentorship, empathy, and practical tools for success. You can find these by searching 'Jack Clark virtual reality' on Google Scholar.
I specialize in Executive Functioning, Data Science, Public Speaking, and Essay Editing. Whether I'm supporting students with time management and focus or helping them break down complex assignments, I use research-backed strategies rooted in attention science and user-centered learning design. My background in cognitive load theory and sensory information processing helps me create calm, effective pathways through even the most overwhelming material.
I believe that tutoring is more than academic support. It's a chance to build confidence, develop clarity, and ignite curiosity. Every learner has a rhythm; I'm here to help them find it and grow into it.

I’m a lifelong fan of immersive worlds and great storytelling, whether it’s Harry Potter, Lord of the Rings, Marvel, or diving back into the Uncharted video game series just to chase the thrill of adventure. I’m passionate about games in all forms, from video games to tabletop strategy, and I never turn down a chance to explore a new world. It's also why I love audiobooks and often find myself absorbed in sci-fi and fantasy series like A Court of Thorns and Roses or The Dresden Files. I practice archery (yes, it’s as fun as it looks) and have a deep appreciation for good food...especially tacos. Whether it’s fantasy realms or flavorful street eats, I’m always in search of the next great experience.
