Certified Tutor

I am a Senior at the University of Alabama, pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering. I first began tutoring my sophomore year of high school at the recommendation of my algebra 2 teacher, and I have since tutored more than 10 different students, specializing in a range of math subjects, including Algebra, AP Calculus AB, and standardized test math preparation. My approach to tutoring is deeply student-centered; I believe in tailoring my teaching methods to fit each student's unique goals and learning styles. Having tutored peers and coached sports, I've developed a strong ability to connect with students, making complex concepts more accessible. My passion for math stems from my own academic challenges, which have taught me the importance of perseverance and clear communication. I aim to empower students not just to succeed academically, but to build confidence in their problem-solving skills. Outside of tutoring, I enjoy playing lots of different sports, many of which I have a lot of experience coaching as well, which I believe has only strengthened my ability to connect with students academically as well.
