I am a dedicated educator, certified in teaching Special Education, Learning Disabilities, Multiple Disabilities, and well as Gifted and Talented Education. With a Master's in Education from the University of South Carolina, a Bachelor's of Science in Special Education from Appalachian State University, and a Graduate Certificate in Behavioral Interventions in Autism from UMass Lowell, education is truly a passion of mine. I have over 2 years of tutoring experience and more than 10 years of classroom experience, supporting special education students as they access the general curriculum. My favorite subject areas to teach are English Language Arts and Mathematics, where I strive to create a supportive learning environment that meets students where they are.

I believe in the power of individualized instruction, using assessment to identify gaps in understanding and employing various strategies to build confidence and skills. Witnessing students unlock the world of reading and conquer mathematical challenges is incredibly rewarding.

I enjoy reading (especially mystery novels) and painting. I spend much of my free time enjoying my family and pets.
