As a passionate educator with a Master's degree in International Finance from Thunderbird School of Global Management and a Bachelor's in Linguistics from Brigham Young University, I have over 15 years of tutoring and training experience, specializing in Finance, Algebra, Financial Accounting, Geometry, and Microsoft Excel. My teaching philosophy centers on fostering a supportive learning environment where students feel engaged and motivated to grasp complex concepts. I thrive on breaking down intricate ideas into relatable, digestible components, ensuring that each student can connect with the material. My background in financial consulting has equipped me with the skills to convey practical applications of mathematics and finance, and I take pride in tailoring my approach to meet individual learning styles. I enjoy spending time with my wife and kids, weightlifting, pole vaulting, and generally getting outside. I'm currently learning to play the piano and trying to expand my cooking recipe portfolio beyond burgers and steaks. I'm also learning to weld as I build a go-kart, but it's tough to dedicate sufficient time on that one.
