Certified Tutor
I am passionate about tutoring because I love helping students gain confidence in their abilities and discover that learning can be both manageable and rewarding. My experience ranges from tutoring high school and AP Biology students, where I was consistently at the top of my class, to reviewing essays during the college application process, and supporting peers in organic chemistry, where I earned an A+. I've also worked with younger learners, tutoring my cousins in elementary and middle school math and English, which taught me patience and adaptability.
Currently, I am a student in the BA/MD program at Brooklyn College and the CUNY School of Medicine, majoring in Health and Nutrition with a concentration in Public Health. I tutor biology (high school through college level), introductory organic chemistry, Algebra 1 and 2, and essay writing and review. Biology is my favorite subject to teach because I enjoy showing students how complex processes connect to the real world in meaningful ways.
My tutoring style is student-centered and flexible. I meet each learner where they are, break down challenging concepts step by step, and build lesson plans tailored to their needs. Outside of academics, I enjoy community service and leadership, including founding a nonprofit supporting pediatric patients, and I mentor younger students through programs focused on self-esteem, leadership, and anti-bullying. These experiences shape my approach as a tutor: supportive, encouraging, and dedicated to helping students reach their full potential.

Outside of academics, I have a lot of different interests that keep life fun. Community service and leadership are extremely important to me. I’ve had the opportunity to mentor younger students through confidence and leadership programs, and I even founded a nonprofit that supports pediatric patients, which has been one of the most rewarding experiences I’ve had. I also love to travel and recently went to India to visit my grandparents. Traveling ties into two of my other passions: cars and planes. I currently drive a 2014 BMW X5 and love the 2025 model. When it comes to planes, I can name almost any passenger aircraft. My favorite is the Airbus A380, it’s a double-decker plane and the largest passenger aircraft in the world - crazy right?! At home, I spend a lot of time cooking and gardening. I grew up watching my parents cook, so I’ve learned a few things and enjoy making meals myself. Gardening has become another hobby of mine. I enjoy growing vegetables and herbs, and watching the results of my care over time. When I’m winding down, I love watching TV and listening to music. My favorite pastime has to be making playlists on Spotify!
