Bahareh
Certified Tutor
I am a PhD candidate in Medical Physics with Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Mechanical Engineering. Over the past five years, I've taught and tutored high school and university students in physics (kinematics, dynamics, energy, momentum, thermodynamics, electricity, and magnetism) and mathematics (algebra, geometry, trigonometry, calculus, linear algebra, and differential equations). I also teach undergraduate courses in fluid mechanics and thermodynamics. I completed the six-week Teaching Foundations Certificate in Higher Education and workshops on inclusive teaching, active learning, and student engagement. My dedication to teaching has been recognized at Toronto Metropolitan University with the TA/GA Teaching Excellence Award and the TA/GA Equity and Inclusion Award.
My teaching style is student-centered and adaptable, focusing on building both understanding and confidence. I use real-world examples, step-by-step explanations, and active problem-solving to make lessons engaging and practical. I believe learning should feel empowering, and I work to create a supportive environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes as part of the learning process.
