I am deeply passionate about tutoring, particularly in the area of adult literacy, where I have over 5 years of experience. My approach centers on creating a supportive and engaging learning environment tailored to each student's unique needs. Currently, I work one-on-one with an adult learner to enhance her reading and comprehension skills using targeted strategies, such as vocabulary building and interactive discussions about the texts we read together, including *Holes* by Louis Sachar. I believe that reading is foundational for all ages, and I also enjoy volunteering to read to kindergarten students, encouraging their love for literature through questions and discussions. With a Bachelor's in Business from the University of Massachusetts and the University of New Haven, I have a strong educational background that complements my experience in human resources and leadership training. My goal is to empower each student to achieve their personal learning milestones while fostering a lifelong love of reading.
