I am a graduate of the University of Quebec in Montreal (UQAM). I have a Bachelor in Teaching ESL and I am currently doing a certification for teaching EFL (English as a Foreign Language).
After graduation, I worked at a hospital and did class substitution, as well as tutoring on the side. I got to replace teachers in school and taught a few subjects here and there, but my tutoring was for English and French.
Although my bachelor's degree is in teaching English, I have utilized my experience and training to teach French. It is my native language, and I have been studying it for years in school. Furthermore, I have passed one of the most rigorous French tests in Quebec, which attests to my knowledge and understanding of the language.
I believe learning and knowing multiple languages is extremely important. First off, it makes you smarter (look it up!). Second, I truly believe it will help you succeed in life, anywhere you wish to go. Especially the English language, which is the unofficial universal language of our planet. It will open you to the world and its infinite opportunities to make the best life for yourself and your loved ones. That is what I give my students when I teach them this beautiful language I love so much.
