Certified Tutor

I'm excited at the prospect of being your tutor! I have more than 10 years experience as a high school special education teacher where I specialized in teaching English (9-12), Algebra 1, and Geometry as well as organization, executive functioning, and study skills. I also have experience supporting students with US and World History, Biology, and Algebra 2.

I'm passionate about helping my students build their skills, confidence, and independence. My hope is that any student I work with feels empowered in their learning. To me, content mastery is critical, but so is a sense of confidence and personal empowerment. I also strive to connect my teaching to my students' interests and goals, because learning is more impactful when we understand our purpose.

I have a Masters Degree in Education from Boston University and completed my undergraduate degree in Education and Sociology at Brandeis University. I hold a Massachusetts Professional Teaching License in Moderate Disabilities 5-12 with an SEI endorsement.
