Moving from a mediocre public school to one of the nation's most prestigious and rigorous universities to study biology was a huge challenge for me.

I realized that if I wanted to succeed, I needed to drastically change the way I was learning.

I stopped memorizing content, and instead forced myself to dig into fundamental principles that weren't covered in class, and to rationalize everything the professor discussed. Before I knew it, I was getting all As, and I began TAing to help other students do the same.
