Certified Tutor

I have been a part of numerous learning platforms in a number of ways.
I am familiar with homeschooling, private schooling, public schooling, and educational summer camps. Education is my passion. Making learning fun and fruitful is what I live for.
I graduated from Christendom College with a BA in English Language and Literature in 2020. Upon graduation, I have taught as an elementary homeroom teacher at a private school for five years. During that time, I tutored independently after school hours and during the summer. In November of 2024, I relocated to New York and substituted at public schools in the area. I love teaching and learning ways to improve my instructions!
Many of my students in the classroom and in tutoring have various learning disabilities, diagnosed and undiagnosed. I love working with students and families to find ways to best support student learning, confidence, achievement. If one method of instruction is not working for an individual, together we will try another until we find the perfect match!
I have taught and tutored a variety of core subjects: Math, Reading, Language Arts, Science, and Social Studies. My focus has been primarily on Math, Reading, and Language Arts for elementary grades (1-5), but I have experience up through Middle School. For many tutoring students, I followed them over the course of three or four years.
From an A+ student searching for enrichment to the struggling student wishing to improve his/her grades, my goal is always to assist students in their continual efforts to improve themselves.

I grew up on a dairy farm and learned to love animals and hard work.
Because I no longer live on a farm, I spend my time with my pet dog, reading, being out doors, and watching movies with friends and family.
