Nichole: Skokie tutor
Certified Tutor
I'm a passionate tutor with experience teaching English and Spanish to a wide range of learners including high schoolers, college students, and adults training to become medical interpreters. I've also taught digital art, which has been a great way to connect with students creatively. I genuinely enjoy working with people of all ages and backgrounds. For me, teaching isn't just about sharing information, it's about helping students feel confident, supported, and excited about learning.
I believe every student learns differently, so I always try to adapt my approach to what works best for them. Whether someone is picking up a new language or finding their artistic voice, I aim to create a space where they feel comfortable, seen, and encouraged. I'm patient, flexible, and always focused on helping my students grow in a way that feels right for them.
My goal is to support each learner as they work toward their goalswhether that's mastering a new skill, preparing for a career, or just building confidence. I'm here to guide, encourage, and celebrate their progress every step of the way.

Outside of teaching, I’m passionate about drawing. It’s my favorite way to relax and express myself creatively. I also love trying new hands-on activities. For example, lately, I’ve been exploring crocheting amigurumi, which has been both fun and rewarding. I’m a big animal lover, too. I often help care for injured birds and enjoy safely returning some insects and reptiles like geckos, iguanas, and lizards to their natural habitats. I enjoy helping others feel good about themselves. Whether it’s through teaching, creating, or caring for animals, I find real joy in making a positive impact on whatever I interact with.
