As a passionate tutor with a Bachelor's in Psychology from the University of Florida, I bring over two years of experience in teaching elementary students, primarily in ELA and math. My teaching philosophy centers on fostering a love for learning by creating a supportive environment where young learners can thrive. I employ the "I do, we do, you do" method, guiding students through problem-solving processes and gradually releasing them to work independently, which builds their confidence and skills. My experience includes preparing students for the SAT, utilizing effective test preparation strategies that I have honed. Witnessing my students' growth, particularly in foundational skills like phonics and mathematical concepts, is incredibly rewarding. Outside of tutoring, I enjoy exploring new educational resources and engaging in reading, which continually enhances my teaching methods and deepens my commitment to my students' success.
