Certified Tutor

I received my BA in Music and Physics from Amherst College, specializing in audio recording and production. I am most interested in teaching music theory, music recording, and high school/undergraduate physics. Recently, I taught music theory, audio production, and songwriting at Deerfield Academy Summer Arts Camp. As a teaching artist, it is my goal to equip students with the tonal, technical, and creative intuition to play the music they love. I aim to meet students where they're at and nurture their musical curiosity on their own terms, while expanding their awareness of what is possible using tools like theory and digital audio.

I also taught physics (undergraduate and AP) for 3 years as a Teaching Assistant, Peer Tutor, and freelance tutor in the Amherst area. Whether working through AP problems in one-on-one tutoring sessions or guiding tired pre-med students through lengthy derivations, I know that true learning starts with a trusting relationship between student and teacher. I tailor my pedagogical practice around this idea, and it shows.
