Certified Tutor
I am a graduate of Indiana University Northwest, where I received my bachelor's of science in geology, and the University of Akron, where I received my master's of science in geology. At both universities, I worked as a teaching assistant and lead introductory geology labs composed of hands-on exercises including rock and mineral identification, geologic hazard prediction, and interpretation of geologic maps. As such, geology and geosciences are my main tutoring areas, although I am also more than comfortable taking on chemistry and general science tutorships. In my eyes, education is vital for the success of both individuals and broader society. Education and critical thinking are vitally important in day-to-day life at small and large scales, and I hope to do my part in fostering an educated community. Every student has unique skills and strengths that they can rely on, and I am a firm believer that everyone deserves a chance to succeed. When I'm not tutoring, I enjoy playing bass guitar, reading, caring for my reptile collection, and learning about the world around me.
