I hold a graduate degree in Clinical/Counseling Psychology and I have taught in higher education for almost 20 years. In that role I've had the opportunity to work with thousands of students (wow, I've never done that math before)! I have a lot of experience with different learning styles and preferences. I also homeschool my own two children. I really love teaching!

One of the best things about teaching is finding ways to help my students learn the material in a way that resonates with them. Seeing the light turn on when something clicks is amazing. I am a flexible educator who enjoys finding ways to help a student learn something; if one way doesn't make sense I can always find another way that does. I am also passionate about my subject and sometimes that passion is contagious which makes learning more fun. And who doesn't enjoy something that is fun?

In my spare time I enjoy dancing, traveling, reading, painting and spending time with my kids who are amazing little people!

In my free time I enjoy dancing, I started when I was 3 and now I take adult classes! I also enjoy traveling, painting, and reading. I really enjoy learning about history and the books I typically pick to read for leisure are related to whatever historical topic I'm currently obsessed with. For the past few years, I've been interested in the Tudor period in England, specifically the lives of Henry VIII's wives and children.
