With a Bachelor's in Biology from Elizabeth City State University, I have over 25 years of teaching experience, including middle school science and high school courses such as AP Environmental Science and Biology. My teaching philosophy centers on individualizing instruction to meet diverse learning needs, drawing on real-life applications to make scientific concepts relatable and engaging. As a Gifted Education Facilitator, I am passionate about nurturing students' curiosity and helping them discover interests they didn't know they had. I take pride in witnessing my students achieve their goals, such as our recent success at state competitions.
