Certified Tutor
I am passionate about helping students because I know firsthand the power of consistent support, clear explanations, and thoughtful encouragement. STEM subjects can seem overwhelming initially, but every student can master complex material with the proper guidance and mindset. It is gratifying to help students build confidence in solving problems and how they approach learning overall.
My experience working with students includes mentoring undergraduate peers, collaborating with cross-disciplinary teams during engineering design projects, and leading teammates as a Division I student-athlete. I earned a Bachelor's degree in Biomedical Engineering from Duke University and received a Master's degree in Bioengineering from Rice University.
I tutor subjects such as algebra, trigonometry, geometry, calculus, biomechanics, and R for statistics. I enjoy these areas because they combine conceptual reasoning with real-world relevance.
My tutoring style is highly adaptive; I listen first, then tailor each session to match a student's pace, learning style, and goals. I prioritize understanding over memorization and break down complex topics into digestible, logical steps. I aim to create a supportive space where questions are encouraged, and mistakes are seen as a natural part of the learning process.
Outside academia, I enjoy watching and playing sports, reading, and watching movies.
