I am a passionate educator who goes into every lesson with a student-centered approach. I prioritize building meaningful relationships with my students, taking the time to understand both their strengths and the areas in which they need the most support. My goal is always to create an inclusive, engaging, and empowering learning environment.
I am currently a Ph.D. candidate in Music Theory and History at the University of Connecticut, where I have taught undergraduate music theory and history courses for the past five years. I earned my M.A. in Music Theory from the University of Connecticut in 2022 and my B.M. in Music Education, with a focus on K12 instrumental instruction and a minor in Disability Studies, from the University of Delaware in 2020.
While I have dedicated many years to the study, teaching, and research of music theory and history, I am also deeply invested in the intersection of music pedagogy and disability studies. Exploring these intersections has enriched my understanding of inclusive teaching practices and continues to shape my approach to accessibility in the classroom. This work fuels my ongoing commitment to making music education accessible and meaningful for all learners!

In my free time, I love spending time outdoors. Gardening and hiking give me much-needed time to decompress as I near the end of my degree program. I also enjoy baking, especially since I follow a gluten- and dairy-free diet. I'm always experimenting with new recipes!
