I'm passionate about helping students because I believe education is one of the most powerful tools we have to shape our futures. Watching a student go from confusion to clarity is incredibly rewarding. I love being a part of their learning journey and helping them build both knowledge and confidence. I've worked with students in various capacitiesthrough one-on-one tutoring, classroom support, and online platforms. I've helped elementary schoolers improve in math, guided them through reading comprehension, and supported their individual needs. Each experience has taught me how to adapt my approach based on unique learning styles. I earned my Bachelor's degree from the University of South Carolina Aiken, and I'm currently pursuing a masters in Educational Leadership at Western Governors University. My academic background provided a strong foundation once in the education setting but I've also continued learning through experience and self-study. I tutor a range of subjects including math first grade up to fourth grade. English/language arts, , and standardized test prep (SC Ready and District assessments). I'm also comfortable helping with study skills and general academic support. Reading and math are my favorite subjects to tutor because they allow for creativity and personal expression. I enjoy helping students find their voice and improve their communication skillsskills that are valuable in every aspect of life. My teaching philosophy centers on patience, encouragement, and active engagement. I aim to create a supportive environment where students feel comfortable asking questions. I tailor my tutoring style to each student, focusing on building understanding rather than memorization. Outside of tutoring, I enjoy reading, hiking, and exploring with my wonderful little family.

Hobbies

Spending time outdoors whether it's hiking, fishing, camping, or just enjoying a quiet morning on the porch with a cup of coffee, being outside and soaking in nature is a favorite way to unwind. I also love to try out Southern comfort food recipes, baking pies from scratch, or perfecting a family recipe is both fun and meaningful. I have a love for good books—whether it's classic literature, modern fiction, or educational books to grow as a teacher—is a big part of downtime.
