Marina: Miami Gardens tutor
Certified Tutor
With a PhD in Immunology and over 12 years of academic experience, I have dedicated my career to research, teaching, and mentoring students across the globe, including in Serbia, France, and Canada. My passion lies in making complex biological concepts accessible and exciting, particularly in immunology, microbiology, and cell biology.
Throughout my journey, I have taught and mentored students from diverse academic and cultural backgrounds, helping them master everything from foundational cell processes to cutting-edge immunotherapies. I take pride in not only delivering content, but in building curiosity, confidence, and critical thinking in every student I work with.
In addition to teaching, I am an active researcher with a strong background in scientific writing and publishing. My work has been cited over 1,000 times on Google Scholar, and I continue to explore pathways that could contribute to future cancer therapies, a mission that drives my research and fuels my desire to mentor the next generation of immunologists.
Beyond the lab and classroom, I am a deeply curious and creative person. I am crazy about dogs, they are my best friends. I spend my free time playing with Marley and Pixel (my two dogs) or I enjoy diving into research papers like they are mystery novels.
My ultimate goal is to shape a new generation of scientists who are not only technically strong, but also passionate, ethical, and globally aware. Whether you are just starting out in biology or preparing for an advanced degree, I am here to support you every step of the way.

Graduate Degree: University of Belgrade - Doctor of Science, Immunology
Professionally, my deepest motivation is the pursuit of a cure for cancer and the broader mission of making healthcare and scientific knowledge accessible to everyone, regardless of their background. I believe science should not live only in academic journals, it should serve humanity. Outside of the lab, I am a passionate and curious soul. I love immersing myself in fantasy literature—authors like Neil Gaiman, J.R.R. Tolkien, and similar visionaries. I am also an advocate for animal welfare and feel deeply connected to support dogs, horses, and all creatures that bring healing and companionship to people. I find joy in traveling, exploring new cultures, and learning through lived experience. Whether it is food, architecture, or local traditions, I believe every place has something unique to teach. And yes, I am also passionate about fashion. To me, fashion is an art form, a cultural expression, and a way to celebrate individuality.
