Certified Tutor
I am a graduate of the University of Chicago, where I earned a Bachelor of Science in both Physics and Molecular Engineering. This fall, I will begin a Master of Engineering in Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of Michigan. I tutor physics, calculus, differential equations, multivariable calculus, mechanics, electricity and magnetism, solid-state physics, and electronics. Among these, physics and electronics are my favorite subjects to teach, as they reveal how the world works at both the fundamental and applied levels.
I've worked with both high school and college students in one-on-one settings, helping them develop a stronger grasp of challenging material. I draw from my experience in research, which includes studying semiconductor optoelectronics and protein folding kinetics, to give students real-world context and motivation. I aim to break down complicated concepts into manageable pieces while tailoring explanations to each student's unique learning style. I emphasize clarity and structured problem-solving, using visual aids and targeted practice to build intuition and confidence.
I'm passionate about helping students not only understand difficult material but also develop the critical thinking skills that will serve them beyond the classroom.
