I first began my main tutoring journey in 2018 with NYU's STEP Program. My mission here was to try and impart math and science knowledge in a way that was digestible for students. Growing up many of my peers struggled with math and science and therefore began to avoid those subjects. I wanted to help the next generation feel empowered in their understanding of these topics. I had a great time working and teaching with the STEP Program. This program allowed me both the classroom setting and one-on-one teaching experiences. I enjoyed teaching with a class and encouraging the students to participate and work together while the one-on-one tutoring allowed me to take time with each student and ensure that they were comfortable with what had been reviewed. I myself had been an NYU student for both my undergraduate and graduate careers where I studied Biology and Biomedical Informatics, respectively. During this time, I tutored geometry, chemistry, SAT math and verbal, and 8th grade math. My current goal is now medical school as I study for the MCAT.
