I am very happy with our experience so far with Varsity Tutors. They matched my daughter with reading specialist Mary and she is wonderful! My 10 year old daughter feels happy after her sessions and believes her tutor has already helped her.

Certified Tutor

I earned my Bachelor of Applied Science in Cybersecurity from St. Petersburg College, where I focused on offensive security and ethical hacking. During my time there, I became deeply involved in cybersecurity competitions and now compete with one of the top-ranked Capture the Flag (CTF) teams. It's been a great way to learn, challenge myself, and meet others who are just as passionate about cybersecurity.

What I really enjoy about tutoring is helping students go from "I have no idea what this means" to "Wait, I actually get this now." I've worked with classmates and peers on everything from Python basics to understanding how real-world security attacks work. Whether it's explaining tricky concepts or helping with coding assignments, I always try to make learning approachable and relatable.

I mainly tutor basic computer science, cybersecurity, and math through algebra and pre-calc. Cybersecurity is definitely my favorites since it's hands-on, constantly changing, and just plain cool once it clicks. My style is laid-back but focused. I'm all about creating a space where students feel comfortable asking questions and exploring ideas.

Outside of tutoring, I love powerlifting, solving CTF challenges, building little side projects, and diving into random tech topics. I also enjoy a good video game or two when I have time. Learning should be useful, but it can be fun too and that's the vibe I try to bring to every session.
