I am a rising third-year senior History and Social Studies Education student at Hofstra University in Hempstead. For a long time now I have known I wanted to become a social studies educator and any opportunity for me to help others understand the subject is one I want to take! I empathize with those who struggle with this subject and as someone who is very passionate about history, I want to help as many people as I can understand it, it's so important! I have done tutoring in the past with Hofstra University, and although it was a more general tutoring experience, it was still wonderful to work with and help students of all kinds in all different subjects. History, though, will always be my favorite passion to teach as there are so many things that go into understanding history and I love explaining it all! My goal is to help students understand history from more than just one perspective, and how it changes over time. Learning the facts are important, but the way you approach history is just as important too.
