My name is Bidya Niroula, and I am currently pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Software Engineering with a minor in Science at Bowling Green State University, where I am expected to graduate in May 2026. Throughout my academic journey, I have developed strong skills in programming languages such as Python, Java, Scratch, and C++, as well as proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and computer organization.
In my current role with America Reads, I have been tutoring elementary students in reading, working one-on-one to address their individual academic needs. This experience has strengthened my ability to communicate effectively, practice patience, and adapt my teaching methods to fit each student's learning style. Through my work, I have seen firsthand how personalized attention can boost a student's confidence and academic performance.
Additionally, my involvement in campus organizations such as Women in Computing Fields and Trio has enhanced my teamwork, leadership, and mentoring abilities. As a Director for an improv comedy group, I have further honed my communication skills and developed creative ways to engage audiencesskills that I believe are equally important in keeping students motivated and involved in their learning process.
With a strong academic background, hands-on tutoring experience, and a passion for helping others succeed, I am excited to bring my skills, enthusiasm, and dedication to a tutoring position. I am committed to creating a supportive and encouraging learning environment that empowers students to reach their full potential.
