I connect really well with students of all ages, and tend to build solid rapport. I love working on on one with kids because you get to build a relationship of trust and confidence so much easier.
I can tutor any subject up to 6th grade. From there I have all my brain knowledge packed into science. I especially love and understand Chemistry, Physical Science, Earth Science and Environmental. I can help with any of the Biologies if needed.
I love working with younger kids, so any elementary subject. My favorites in elementary would be math and science.
My Middle school and high school science favorite would be Chemistry or Earth Science
I have been in education for about ten years in lots of different capacities, as a teacher of many grades and subjects, as well as a paraprofessional working one-on-one with students who are struggling. I started with a culinary and hospitality degree, and then went back to get two different teaching certificates, one K-6 and one in General Science 7-12.
I love teaching with examples from the real world, analogies, and visuals. I'm a big picture drawer, even though I'm not the best artist. I like to show you how to do something, work through it with you, and then let you practice. I like to have fun, be a tad sarcastic, and try to ease the stress out of situations. I have a son who is dyslexic and has ADD, one who is a powerhouse, and one who hated school! This simply means I've done a lot of intervention work and enrichment work as well as dragging a teenager out of bed every morning work.

I have a husband and three boys! Life around my house is full of crazy boys, lots of adrenaline, and all the loud, crazy fun. We love to travel and have been to almost all of the states and have taken many trips abroad to Africa, South America, and Europe. My next bucket list item is Alaska and Ireland. We build and race cars, love anything that goes fast, and let's us be adrenaline junkies. The ocean is one of our favorite places, and we enjoy anything from deep-sea fishing to surfing ( trying to) or just hanging out, riding the waves. We just like being together. I love to read since it's the only time I get some peace. :) Just kidding. I truly love getting lost in a book and hanging out in a new world. Lastly, I love being with all my high school students during the day and during sports. I have fun mentoring them, watching them learn and grow into cool humans, and being a shoulder for them to dump some weight off on.
