AVA

Certified Tutor

Hi, my name is Ava Ward! I'm a senior Writing major at the Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD). I tutor subjects such as literature, essay writing, history, and test prep for K-8 exams.
I discovered my love for teaching during an internship as a music instructor for a young band of students, ages 710. I provided one-on-one lessons and helped guide the group toward their final performance. Since then, I've continued working with kids as a part-time babysitter and have found a real passion for teaching and mentoring. I graduate from college in March 2026 and am planning to travel to Japan afterward. Tutoring is currently one of my three part-time jobs, but I would love to expand it into a full-time role.

I'm a very organized person who enjoys planning and conducting my own lessons. At the same time, I believe it's just as important to make sure students are having fun while learning. I prioritize collaboration, patience, and open communication to create a positive learning environment.

I'm excited for the opportunity to tutor and support students!
