Helping students transform frustration into understanding makes tutoring deeply meaningful to me. I've witnessed how the right support can build confident learners, and I find joy in facilitating that growth.
My teaching journey began unexpectedly during the pandemic when I became responsible for my younger brother's education, developing comprehensive lesson plans across core subjects. This experience built my foundation in teaching particularly in elementary-level mathematics and taught me to explain concepts in engaging, age-appropriate ways. Seeking to develop these skills further, I enrolled in a teaching-focused course in high school where I mastered lesson design, classroom management, and adaptive instruction. Shadowing a fourth-grade math class complemented this theoretical knowledge with practical insights into how young students engage with foundational mathematical concepts, especially in a classroom setting.
Throughout high school, I naturally gravitated toward helping classmates with mathematics, especially Algebra and Geometry. My academic strengths lie in Algebra I and II, Geometry, Pre-Calculus, and Calculus I, all courses I completed as part of an advanced academic track, consistently earning A's and graduating with honor roll distinction. As an engineering student, I've continued my mathematical journey at Texas A&M University, completing Calculus I and Calculus II, with plans for Calculus III next semester.
Middle School and High School Algebra remains my favorite subject to teach; I appreciate its logical structure and enjoy helping students see it as both manageable and enjoyable. Simultaneously, my ongoing experience helping my fourth-grade brother has strengthened my ability to teach foundational elementary school mathematics clearly and engagingly. My approach adapts to each student's thinking style, patient, encouraging, and focused on building lasting understanding and confidence rather than temporary solutions.

Outside of academics, I enjoy creative projects, especially painting and hands-on activities that allow me to express myself visually. I also love spending time with my friends and family, whether we’re cooking together or just hanging out. In addition to these personal hobbies, I volunteer at various Texas A&M's engineering events, where I get to combine my passion for learning and my interest in helping others. I also enjoy engaging with my pet birds and exploring new areas of interest, such as different languages and cultures. These activities keep me inspired, balanced, and bring a creative, open-minded approach to my tutoring style.
