I graduated from Texas A&M University in 2008. I received my Bachelor of Arts in Interdisciplinary Studies and became a certified teacher for Early Childhood-4th Grade and English as a Second Language. I have taught in two public school districts and one private school for a total of 17 years. I am now earning my Master's in Marriage and Family Therapy through Abilene Christian University with an expected graduation of August 2025. While I tutor a range of subjects, I am most passionate about the integration of Phonics, Reading, and Writing. I am also passionate about the progression of learning in Math skills.
In my experience, giving students a "why" for their learning helps them connect an abstract topic in the classroom to its real-world application. I believe that utilizing a learner's strengths in their learning opens doors for an individual to reach their goals.

I enjoy reading fiction books as my personal "getaway." I am a beginner backyard gardener and am learning how to crochet amigurumi. My family and I love playing board games and watching movies together.
