I am deeply passionate about helping students discover the excitement of learning and achieve their highest potential. With extensive experience as an educator and communications professional, I have had the privilege of mentoring students at the College of Charleston, teaching subjects ranging from media literacy and digital storytelling to persuasive writing and strategic communication. My greatest fulfillment comes from seeing students develop not only their skills but also their confidence and enthusiasm for their academic pursuits.

I hold a Master of Arts in History of Film and Visual Media from Birkbeck College, University of London, and a Bachelor of Arts in History from the University of Sussex. Leveraging my academic background and real-world expertise, I tutor subjects including English, History, Media Studies, and Communications. Among these, I find English and History particularly rewarding to teach, as they offer powerful avenues for students to explore critical thinking, articulate ideas effectively, and connect historical contexts with contemporary issues.

My teaching philosophy is rooted in creating a nurturing, engaging, and highly personalized learning environment. I believe every student learns uniquely, and my tutoring approach emphasizes understanding each student's individual learning style to tailor sessions that are both effective and enjoyable. Encouraging curiosity, fostering active participation, and building confidence are central to my tutoring style. By connecting academic content to real-world scenarios, I help students appreciate the relevance and practical application of their studies.

Outside of academia, I enjoy exploring creative writing, filmmaking, photography, and traveling, experiences that continually inspire my teaching and allow me to bring fresh perspectives and insights to my tutoring sessions.
