As a Kindergarten Teacher for 20 years, I have attended many workshops on how to help children learn how to read. I am passionate about teaching children to read and write. I have been trained in the Orton Gillingham Approach. This is an explicit and sequential way to teach literacy. I always implement my lessons to make them fun for the students.

I enjoy reading historical fiction books, taking our kayaks to a nearby river, being with my beautiful twin daughters, and taking beach trips. I also enjoy teaching as it is a very rewarding job. I find that teaching Kindergarten is one of the best careers because it is beautiful to see these students blossom through the year.
