I am truly passionate about helping students experience those "ah-ha" moments, especially in mathematics. Witnessing their understanding deepen is incredibly rewarding.

I have been a high school math teacher for 11 years, during which I have had the pleasure of teaching Algebra 1, Algebra 2, Geometry, AP Precalculus, and Calculus. This experience has allowed me to support students at various levels and help them develop their mathematical skills.

I hold a master's degree in Secondary Math Education from Radford University, which has equipped me with the knowledge and strategies to effectively teach and engage students.

My favorite subjects to tutor are algebra and geometry. I find that they beautifully combine patterns and abstract thought, making them enjoyable to teach. I focus on listening to my students as they explain their problem-solving processes, which helps me identify the specific areas where they may struggle. This approach allows me to tailor my tutoring style to meet their needs and guide them toward greater understanding.

Outside of academia, I enjoy running and spending quality time with my family. These activities provide me with balance and refresh my perspective.
