Hi there! I'm a certified teacher with nine years of experience helping students build confidence and succeed in English Language Arts and Social Studies. I've spent most of my career teaching 6th and 7th grade ELA, where I've developed a deep understanding of how to make reading, writing, and critical thinking engaging and accessible.
I hold certifications in ELA, Social Studies, Health, and ESL, and I recently earned my Master's in Education in School Counseling. This background allows me to approach tutoring with both strong subject knowledge and a student-centered, supportive mindset. I know that every learner is unique, and I tailor my lessons to fit individual strengths, challenges, and learning styles.

When I’m not teaching, you can usually find me curled up with a good book, catching up on my favorite TV shows, or doing my nails—there’s something so relaxing about a fresh manicure! I’m also a big fan of musicals and love listening to cast recordings whenever I need a little boost of energy. And while I enjoy plenty of lighthearted stories, I have a soft spot for horror movies and love a good spooky thriller. Whether I’m getting lost in a book or watching a suspenseful film, I’ve always loved stories in all forms, which is probably why I’m so passionate about teaching English Language Arts!
