I am currently studying to receive my Bachelor of Fine Arts for Creative Writing at Emerson College, with a minor in Global & Postcolonial Studies. I have had extensive academic experience, tutoring throughout high school and college. At Emerson, I was a Notetaker, which sometimes involved meeting up with my peers and going over subjects that were difficult for them in class. I was also a tutoring intern at 826 Boston, a nonprofit that serves traditionally underprivileged communities. There, I worked with students from kindergarten to junior year of high school in a wide range of subjects. I was also part of 826's college essay bootcamp, during which I helped students make considerable improvements to their college essays and helped them to articulate what they envisioned for themselves. While I could tutor on a range of subjects, I am best at, and most passionate about, English, Literature, and History. I believe now more than ever, education is vital to imbue students with critical thinking, imagination, and empathy, so that they can be dedicated and kind citizens. I work best with students who have a vested interest in the material and want to challenge themselves, because ultimately, I want the student to be the one who finds the solution. I'm just here to provide help along the way.
