Certified Tutor

I am excited to help others meet their English language learning goals. I am a graduate of Regent University (Master of Education degree in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages) and the US Air Force Academy (Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering Sciences). Much of my professional background has been in aviation, but I've also enjoyed tutoring English Language Learners (adults, college students, and youth), elementary math students, and youth Bible studies in a variety of volunteer settings. Over the last 27 years, I have visited more than 50 countries and lived long-term in four. This has given me an interest in cultures, and a special appreciation for the challenges of learning new languages and adapting to new settings. I am a strong believer in loving my neighbor by building relationships through acts of service. In my free time, I enjoy volunteering with friends in church ministries at home and abroad, learning Spanish, hiking, and appreciating quiet moments.
