Josiah: Chester County tutor
Certified Tutor
I am an engineering student at the University of Waterloo, working toward a Bachelor of Applied Science in Architectural Engineering. Having recently graduated from Upper Canada College, I have significantly benefitted from getting tutored in the past, and it is my desire to give the same in return to students. From working as a camp counsellor to volunteering at elementary and middle schools, I have developed a passion for working with and teaching the younger generation, with my most recent teaching experience being giving middle school students a lesson about suspension bridges and the physics behind them. While I enjoy teaching a variety of subjects, I am most passionate about math, chemistry, physics, and music. I am a strong believer in a patient teaching approach, and one that makes students feel comfortable asking questions and being open. In my lessons, I will strive to keep a lighthearted yet focused atmosphere, ensuring students are at ease and learning. In my spare time, I enjoy playing a variety of sports, playing instruments such as the piano and guitar, and being creative!
