I graduated this past December with my Bachelor's of Science in Biology and a certificate in Honors Interdisciplinary Studies from the University of New Mexico, and chose to focus studies on ecology and botany. I am pursuing graduate school here at the University of New Mexico to study arid land botany and mycology, and am hoping to begin work towards my Master's degree this Fall. I absolutely love science, particularly biology and chemistry. My favorite subject to tutor is biology, and can assist with a variety of disciplines across this diverse field, from cell and molecular biology and genetics to evolutionary biology, ecology, and microbiology. While I thoroughly enjoy all facets of the biological field, my passion lies in botany--I am definitely a plant nerd! My philosophy when it comes to teaching is that academic success is founded upon a desire to learn. As such, I want to share my excitement about science and hope to help to students get excited about it too! In my spare time, I like to hike, read, and ride my horse.

Degree: University of New Mexico - Bachelor, Biology
My interests lie primarily in the scientific fields, namely biology. I particularly enjoy botany, ecology, evolutionary biology, mycology, and paleoecology. In addition to biology, I absolutely love chemistry and anthropology. Outside of the sciences, I really enjoy reading and literary analyses. I also enjoy hiking or otherwise spending time outside, horseback riding, spending time with family and friends, and baking.
