I am currently in my senior year of pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Biology at NJIT, with plans to attend medical school after graduation. My journey as a tutor began in high school, where I co-created an online course during the pandemic with a close friend. Together, we explored topics in neuroscience and astronomy, incorporating interactive activities and experiments to keep our students engaged. This experience reinforced my belief that learning should be fun, dynamic, and inspiring.

Growing up, I often found studying overwhelming and struggled with my grades. It wasn't until I realized that mistakes are part of the learning process and that balance is essential that I began to truly enjoy learning. This perspective shaped my approach to tutoring. I strive to create a supportive and enjoyable learning environment for my students, emphasizing the importance of curiosity over perfection.

Currently, I tutor elementary school children in reading through Reading Partners NYC. My sessions are designed to be both effective and engaging. If a student feels overwhelmed, I incorporate breaks, games, and interactive tools to help them refocus and connect with the material. My goal is to make learning a positive and memorable experience, ensuring that concepts truly resonate with my students.

I have expertise in biology, math, and English, supported by my coursework in college, my background as an ESL speaker, and my passion for making complex subjects accessible. Outside of academia, I enjoy connecting with others through community service and exploring creative ways to make education more impactful for young learners.
