In my 20+ years of experience, whether at Duke University, teaching ESL in North Carolina and Greece, tutoring in a variety of subjects in several countries and U.S. states, I have come to know that I can make the daunting seem less so. I have received degrees in the United States (Economics, University of Connecticut) and England (Economic History, The London School of Economics), and I can speak to the similarities and differences. I have also worked in Finance and Marketing, and I can speak to hard and soft skills. From selecting the universities/programs, to writing/correcting essays and personal statements, to mock interviewing, I break down every part to something manageable and straightforward. My students have received offers to their top choices and their long-shots, but, more importantly, they have received important life lessons. They learn to strategize, simplify, and commit. They learn not to be afraid of the new and overwhelming.

On any given moment, there are always a few books on my nightstand and Kindle. I gravitate toward historical fiction/nonfiction, however. I have a Level 3 award in Wines from the WSET (Level 2 in Spirits and Beer) and enjoy promoting and writing about it.
