I have a love of teaching children to love reading and love learning. I feel it is vital for children to feel the love of learning through their teachers the most. I love showing them that learning is fun and real. I often give real-life scenarios on how they will use a particular skill.
I received my Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education/ESOL from the University of West Florida. I grew up in Florida for the majority of my life.
I then received my Master's Degree also in Elementary Education from Piedmont College (now University).
I taught 2nd grade, 3rd grade, and 4th grades in Jackson, TN, where I lived for 3 years. Then, I moved to Warner Robins, GA. I have taught at my school, Northside Elementary School, for the past 16 years. At Northside, I have taught Kindergarten, 1st grade, 2nd grade, and 4th grades. For K-2, I taught all subjects. In 4th grade, I was the ELA (English and Language Arts) and Social Studies teacher. (My two favorites to teach!) During my time with the county, I received my Gifted Endorsement. I taught gifted while I taught 1st, 2nd, and 4th grades. I really do enjoy teaching to gifted students. It is another passion of mine.

One of my biggest interests is animals! I am an animal lover! I adore dogs. I have two little ones. Oh, the kiddos will meet them. I also have a slight obsession with pandas. They will learn a lot about pandas, and learn many of their names. I am trying to have some outside hobbies at the present time. I am trying crocheting, painting, and other craft projects. Fingers crossed on how they will turn out.
