I want to help students unlock their potential as writers and give them confidence that their writing will draw people into their big ideas, not distract from them. Having a grasp on the fundamentals of the English language clarifies a writer's ideas and makes them more attractive to the reader, so I offer not just writing instruction but also tutoring for its building blocks, such as grammar and other language arts skills. I can work with any grade and tailor my instruction to that level.

I graduated summa cum laude from Weber State University in 2024 with a bachelor's degree in English and Creative Writing and a minor in Literary Editing. My previous experience includes one-on-one work helping a college student improve his writing skills and assisting elementary school students with homework during after-school care.
As a middle and high school basketball coach of five years, I believe there is a balance between instruction, hard work, and fun that helps students learn a concept well and enjoy the process!

Teaching, whether on the court or at a desk, should be individualized so that no one falls through the cracks. The more I know about my students' abilities and the areas where they need practice, the better I can help them improve. It's important for students to have someone to help them work through fundamental issues so that they can build their skills and develop strong habits that allow them to express themselves clearly and easily through their writing. This is the role I hope to fill for my students!
