Brittany: Sussex tutor
Certified Tutor
I hold a Master's degree in theology from the University of Notre Dame and a Bachelor's in theology from Christendom College. My seven years in France not only deepened my love for the language but also equipped me with a fluent command of French that I am eager to share with students. Teaching is my true passion, and I've enjoyed guiding students through the beauty of Theology, French, and Artwhether in my high school classrooms as a Religion teacher and French Club co-sponsor or in diverse settings like workshops, guided travel, retreats, and discussion groups.
In my tutoring sessions, I prioritize a dynamic, conversational approach tailored to each student's needs and interests. My lessons often incorporate games, visuals, videos, and cultural insights drawn from my travels, making learning engaging and relatable. I believe that students thrive when they connect personally with the material, so I incorporate elements from my own interests, including travel, nature, classical music, and art, to make each lesson memorable.
Outside of tutoring, I'm an adventurer at heartI love hiking, camping, cooking, and exploring art museums. My passion for beauty in all its formswhether through nature, architecture, or the artspermeates my teaching and brings an added layer of inspiration to my sessions. I look forward to helping each student find joy and mastery in French and Theology.

I’m an adventurer at heart, always eager to explore new places and cultures. Having lived in France for seven years, I developed a love for travel, especially throughout Europe. In college I also spent an unforgettable semester studying in Rome, where I made it my mission to find the best gelaterias in the city! Hiking, camping, and learning new languages are some of my favorite ways to experience the world’s beauty firsthand. I’m also drawn to beauty—nature, classical music, art, poetry, and architecture bring me joy and often inspire my teaching. Visiting art museums is one of my favorite pastimes. In the kitchen, I love experimenting with new recipes, and my collection of red cooking gear adds a cheerful touch, as red happens to be my favorite color. My interests are more than hobbies; they fuel my creativity in the classroom, where I enjoy connecting with students and making lessons memorable by weaving in cultural, culinary, and artistic references
