As an educator, I am deeply passionate about helping students because I believe in the transformative power of education to open doors and shape lives. My journey in education began at Bay Path University in Longmeadow, Massachusetts, where I earned a master's degree in special education. Since then, I have had the privilege of working with a wide range of students, tailoring my approach to meet their individual needs and helping them overcome academic challenges. My experience spans various subjects, including reading and English, but reading has always held a special place in my heart. I love teaching reading because it unlocks a world of knowledge and imagination for students, providing them with tools to explore, understand, and engage with the world around them.
My teaching philosophy centers on the belief that every student is capable of success when given the right support and encouragement. I believe in creating an inclusive learning environment where students feel safe to express themselves, make mistakes, and grow. My teaching style is flexible and student-centered, incorporating hands-on activities, differentiated instruction, and one-on-one support to ensure that each student can learn in the way that best suits their needs. I strive to be a facilitator of learning, guiding students as they develop critical thinking skills, build confidence, and become lifelong learners.
