Nick: Long Island City tutor
Certified Tutor
I am a recent graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Madison with a dual degree in Computer Sciences and Data Science. While studying CS at my alma mater, I found it rewarding to explain programming problems and concepts to fellow students, and to help others gain a better understanding of whatever task was at hand. When I would solve a problem, I would be eager to help my classmates arrive at a solution just as I had. I think that this is why I am naturally drawn to tutoring, especially in the realm of computer science. Computers will be around for a while, and I believe that there will always be demand for new programmers. Tutoring gives me an opportunity to teach this new generation the fundamentals of computer science and programming. I have extensive experience in high-level programming languages such as Java and Python, having completed numerous university courses using those languages. Computer science is truly a passion of mine, so in addition to these courses, I have worked on an array of personal programming projects and team projects as a member of a software development club. Although I am new to tutoring, I am excited to use my knowledge to help any student who is interested in computer science.
